Joe Craig Rutledge

February 27, 1954 — November 7, 2017

Joe Craig Rutledge, 63, was born February 27, 1954 and passed from this life November 7, 2017. He was the son of Jack and Lena (Kenimer) Rutledge. He became a member of the Roosevelt First Baptist Church at an early age. He attended Roosevelt School and graduated in the class of 1972. His favorite sports were roping, water skiing and building dune buggies. He was a farmer-dairyman helping his parents on the farm. He never met a stranger and was a spinner of humorous stories. Joe had a willing work ethic. He worked as a bulldozer operator, truck driver and many oil field positions. He had numerous friends and will be greatly missed. The joy of his life were his four grandchildren.

Preceded in death by father, Jack Rutledge and sister Lee Beth Funkhouser.

He is survived by his mother Lena Rutledge Harris and daughters and their husbands Jodie and Lucas Oxoteguy Denver, CO and Kristen and Travis Roberts Yukon, OK and grandchildren Teo, Lola, Karlee and Kennedy. Also, brother in law David Funkhouser, nephews and wives Dusty and and Sherri Funkhouser, Will and Christel Funkhouser and five great nieces and nephews, Clay, Faith, Jacy, Ethan and Ledger.

First Baptist Church
Roosevelt, Oklahoma
Burial: Roosevelt Cemetery
Roosevelt, Oklahoma
