Joe Dale Reeves

Joe Dale Reeves was born on May 7, 1949 to James Madison Reeves and Kathleen Matthews in Enid, OK.

He graduated from Broxton High School in 1967. He joined the United States Army in April, 1968 and was honorably discharged in April, 1971. Joe did construction and surveying in the Army and was an expert marksman. He also did a tour in Vietnam.

He married Myrtle Lee Reeves on October 29, 1971. They made their home in Anadarko, and raised four children Dale, Ricky, Keisha, and Jake.

Joe was a well-known, self-employed carpenter for 38 years. He didn't know a stranger and he was well-liked and respected by everyone he knew.

Joe retired in 2007, and in retirement he enjoyed being with his family, gardening, sitting on the front porch drinking coffee, and playing with his grand babies.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Jessie Reeves, Johnnie Reeves, and sister Wanda Crow.

Joe is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lee Reeves, and by his children, Dale and Heather Reeves of OKC, Ricky Reeves and his Fiancée Brenda Coley of Anadarko, Keisha and Casey Gordon and their daughters, Joe's beloved granddaughters Kennidee and Caydee of Anadarko, and Jake Reeves of Anadarko.

Joe is also survived by four brothers and sisters Jimmy Reeves and wife Debbie of Gracemont, Linda Wheeler of Alaska, Doris Frederick of Purcell and Jerry Reeves and wife Rosa of Chickasha, as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews.
