Joe Frank Levine

Joe Frank Levine, 90, died February 20, 2010 in Hobart, OK. He was born June 9, 1919 in Sentinel, OK to Tom and Becky Levine, where the family owned and operated the Dixie Store from 1916 to 1965. Joe graduated from Sentinel High School in 1937, attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma for two years before entering the Army Air Corps and serving as a Captain in WWII. Joe married Mary Thompson on September 18, 1949 and lived in Sentinel until 1965 when they moved to Hobart to continue the family business at Levine's Mainfair, where it continues to operate. Joe was extremely active in civic and community roles in both Sentinel and Hobart including Rotary Club, Sentinel Volunteer Fire Dept., Masonic Lodge, Kiwanis and American Legion. Joe and Mary retired in 1986 and spent many years traveling, golfing, and enjoying family and friends.

Joe is preceded in death by his wife Mary, November 10, 2008, his parents, brother Bill and sister Betty.

and six great-grandchildren:
Shea Anderson, Kennedy, Morgan and Claire Beason,
and Caleb & Callen Levine
