Joan Childers

Joan Childers 85, of Carnegie passed away on October 3, 2015 at the Carnegie Hospital. She was a longtime resident of Carnegie. She was born to Neil and Violet (Lavender) Van Cleave on September 10, 1930 in Carnegie, Ok. She graduated from Carnegie High School. She married A.C. "Dude" Childers on January 1, 1949. To this union, 3 children were born. Joan was a member of the Carnegie Church of the Nazarene. She loved her family and her church.

Survivors include her daughter Marsha McGregor and husband Don of Brooklyn, NY
1 grandson Rob Roy McGregor of Brooklyn, NY
1 granddaughter Lauren Mouritzen and husband Gilbert of San Diego, CA
1 great granddaughter Mia Isabella McGregor of Brooklyn, NY
4 great grandsons Erik Mouritzen, Alex Mouritzen,
Kristofer Mouritzen and Nikalos Mouritzen of San Diego, CA
special friend Carolyn Pound of Carnegie, OK
numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband "Dude", her sons, Dennis Michael and James.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Nazarene Church in Carnegie, OK.
Burial will follow at the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie, OK.
