Jo Ann Richardson

JoAnn Richardson 71 of Fletcher passed away on January 3, 2016 in Fletcher, OK. She was born on July 27, 1944 in Cogar, OK to James and Mary (Bell) Hughes. She married Jacky Richardson on July 26, 1961 in Chickasha, Ok. She was raised in the area all her life. JoAnn subbed for the Anadarko School district, was an avid OU fan, loved subbed for the Fletcher Schools, sewing, and taking care of her brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons: Michael and Julie Richardson, Louisiana, MO
Billy and Rhonda Richardson, Seymour, TX
Three daughters: Jackie and Greg Gorrin Apache, OK
Barbara and Lyle Vernoy, Hobart, OK
Mariah and Tom Fletcher, Duncan, OK

fifteen great-grandchildren
two brothers: Meril Hughes and Frankie Hughes
two sisters: Sonja Kinion and Odessa
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jacky Richardson(10/4/2006), grandson: Dustin Richardson, mother, father, four brothers, and three sisters

Burial will follow under the direction of Steverson Funeral Home, Anadarko.

Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January, 7, 2016 from 6pm to 8 pm.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her name be made to Ronald McDonald House or St. Jude's.
