Jl Kimmel

January 15, 1940 — October 30, 2020

Jesse Lee Kimmel (JL), 80, of Gotebo, Oklahoma passed away October 30th, 2020 at the Great Plains General Hospital in Elk city, Oklahoma.
He was born in the family home on the Washita River just Southeast of Cloud Chief, Oklahoma to Leonard and Bettie (Watson) Kimmel. JL grew up and attended school in Gotebo and graduated from Gotebo High School in 1958. JL owned and operated his own rock hauling truck company, before moving to Arkansas where he farmed. He was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Elk City, Oklahoma. JL enjoyed going to the jamboree, watching the shows and listening to music. He also enjoyed traveling around to different states with the jamboree group. He loved being on the farm with his cows and loved being with his family even more. JL will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Grandchildren: April Belcher & husband Micheal of Snyder, OK
Jamey Vanderpol & wife Nikki of Cordell, OK
Colby Challis & wife Molly of Clinton, OK
Great Grandchildren: Darren Allen, Bentley Belcher, Kenzie Belcher, Landen Vanderpol, Khloe Vanderpol, Keeley Vanderpol, Ellie Vanderpol and Winlynd Challis
Sisters: Ola Bee Heller and Pat Isbell
Step Sons: Bobby Higgins and Ricky Higgins
Numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by his Parents: Leonard and Bettie Kimmel, Brother: Earl Kimmel, and Sister: Mary (Kimmel) Shelby
