Jerry Winfred Tate

Jerry Winfred Tate passed away on August 6, 2017 at the Carnegie Tri County Municipal Hospital. He was born July 30, 1944 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Winfred W.and Geneva C. Mauldin Tate. Jerry attended Poly Technic High School in Ft. Worth, Texas. Jerry graduated from Bethany Nazarene College and Nazarene Bible College.

Jerry served as pastor for many churches including The Carnegie Church of the Nazarene and Nazarene churches in Texas, California, and Arkansas. He married his childhood sweetheart Carol Sue Morgan on December 22, 1962 in Fort Worth, TX. They had 54 wonderful years together.
He is survived by his wife, Sue, of the home in Carnegie.
Two sons: Jay Tate and wife Sharese of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Adam Tate and wife Jeanna of Carnegie, Oklahoma
Two Daughters: JoAnn Craighead and husband John of Eureka, Kansas
Christy Douglass and husband Dale of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Three brothers: Phillip and DeeAnne Tate of Pasadena, California
Rickey and Debbie Tate of Arlington, Texas
Joe and Jana Tate of Decatur, Texas.
One Sister: Elaine and Lynn Dodson of Arlington, Texas.
Seven Grandsons: Jeremiah Craighead, Jay L. Tate, Coby Douglass, Matthew Tate, Zachary Tate, Benjamin Tate, and Logan Tate.
Six Granddaughters: Jennifer Funk, Sydney Whittaker, Breanne Douglass, Larissa Tate, Lacey Tate, and Shelby Tate.
One Great-Granddaughter, Leah Funk.

Preceded in death by Parents, two grandsons, Joshua Tate and Jody Tate and one daughter, Carol Lynn Tate.
