JERRY M. NOLAND, 74, of Anadarko, was born on April 26, 1938, to Cecil and Juanita Lucille (Hines) Noland in Mountain View, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on Sunday, September 15, 2012, in Oklahoma City.
Jerry was raised in Mountain View and graduated from Mountain View High School in 1956. He married the love of his life, Rosemarie Martin, on July 1, 1956 at the FUMC in Mountain View. He attended college at Cameron in Lawton and Central State in Edmond. During his career he built homes with his Dad and worked for Caruso Department store and Mountain View Lumber Company in Mountain View. He later worked in purchasing at Western Farmers Electric Company in Anadarko, General Dynamics in Ft Worth, TX, and Poole Construction in Denver, CO. Returning to Oklahoma he owned and operated the Montgomery Wards store in Hobart, OK and then became Office Manager at Caddo Electric Co-op in Binger, OK. He retired after being a Salesman from Arkansas Electric in 2000. After retirement he worked for a short time at the Caddo County Sheriff's Office and Gold River Casino.
He enjoyed woodworking, cabinet making, camping, and collecting, buying, selling, and trading artifacts. Jerry loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He always had a twinkle in his eye, peppermint in his pocket, and a story or joke to tell.
Jerry was preceded in Death by his parents, one brother, Larry Dean Noland and one sister, Janette Kay (Noland) Granger.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemarie of Anadarko; four children, Cindy Young and her husband, Terrence of Anadarko, Marty Noland of Chickasha, Linda Hendricks and her husband, Bobby of Anadarko and Lisa Pollard and her husband, Rob of Anadarko; grandchildren, Heather Hendricks and J.D. Odom of Richardson, Texas, Dylan Young of Fort Cobb, Tyler Young and his wife, Alicia of Yukon, Andrea Wall and her husband, Shelby of Anadarko, Lucas Noland of Yukon, Makenzie and her fiancé, David Topaum, Jr. of Lawton, Andrew Noland of Stillwater, Brendan Pollard of Anadarko, Ryan Pollard of Anadarko and LaNisha Reddick-Noland of Chickasha; great grandchildren, Abigail Noland of Yukon, Carter Noland of Yukon, Kylan Wall of Anadarko, Chesney Wall of Anadarko and Jace Odom of Richardson, Texas; brother-in-law, Bob Granger of Mountain View; sister-in-law, Jeana Noland of Houston, Texas; uncle, Bob Hines and his wife, Joan of Norman; other relatives and many friends.
