Jerry Lee Menz was born on May 8, 1940, in El Reno, Oklahoma to Lawrence and Viola Menz. He died on November 24, 2014, at the age of 74 years. He married Jerry Ann Edmundson on August 19, 1962. He graduated Central State College, Edmond, OK in 1963, with a degree in Business. Jerry started working at an early age at the family filling station with his dad and older brother in Union City. He worked hard all his life. Jerry worked through college at various jobs. After graduating, he worked at General Electric Credit Corp., he taught DECA in the high school at Ardmore. Then, Jerry & I moved to Hobart where he farmed and ranched, blew insulation, then finally worked as an agent for Oklahoma Farm Bureau Insurance for 16 years until he retired in 2004. He was a member of the Rotary Club, Hobart Beautification Committee, served on the board at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and helped out with Shortgrass productions. Jerry was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in December 2004, but continued enjoying his life even though the disease steadily progressed. Parkinson's may have eventually taken over his body but it never touched his spirit. He continued to be strong, full of projects, engaged with life and people and his amazing spirit never faltered. He loved his family and loved traveling, dancing and going to the coffee shop to visit with his many friends.
Their daughters and families are Shelly, Wing Yew, and Audrey Poon of Mt. View, California. Michele, Bob and Alexandra, Connor, and Zachary Byron, of Plano, TX and Shauna, Jim, Natalie, and Haley Herberg of Mission Viejo, California.
He is survived by four brothers and sisters: Larry and Betty Menz, Edmond, OK, Jeanne and Jim Birdwell, Fletcher, OK, Lloyd and Nancy Menz, Union City, OK, and Pamela Menz, Apache, OK
He is proceeded in death by his parents, grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.

Burial: Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Hobart, OK, under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Hobart.
