Jerri Denise Smith

January 17, 1962 — September 18, 2020

Jerri "Denise" Smith, 58, of Oklahoma City was born on January 17th, 1962 in McAlester, OK. She passed away peacefully on September 18th, 2020 in Oklahoma City. She was the daughter of Letha Goombi - Peters and Jerry Wall/Mathew Peters. She is the granddaughter of Francis and Mae Goombi.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister, grandparents and husband. She is survived by her three daughters, Tracey Smith - Alvarez, Shannon Smith and Geralyn Smith - Hailey all of Oklahoma City; one son, Daryl Smith of Moore; nine grandchildren, Aaliyah Alvarez, Eva Alvarez, Lana Pigeon, Darren Smith, Nariah Smith, Jordan Smith, Carlos Lopez Jr., Hunter Hailey and Aubree Hailey; two sisters, Janice Worcester and Jackie Newton; three brothers, Jeff Wall, Derrick Peters, and Jon Peters; two sons-in-law, Robert Alvarez and Zac Hailey; one daughter-in-law, Misty Pigeon Smith; and many extended family and friends.

She was a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. A 1980 Anadarko High School graduate, she played basketball and was in the Anadarko Marching Band where she played the flute and was a baton twirler. She was also crowned band queen her senior year. She loved spending time with her grandkids and was a big fan of Sooner Football, Thunder Basketball and BTS.

She is loved by so many and her beautiful smile and loving heart will be dearly missed. We love you BAMS.
