Jeremy Don Thompson, 25, was born May 12, 1987, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, to Ricky Don Thompson and Debbie Kay (Dorsey) Thompson Lawrence. He passed from this life on June 19, 2012, at Coalgate, Oklahoma.
Jeremy grew up in rural Anadarko, and graduated from Cyril High School with the Class of 2005. He has been working as a roughneck in the oil fields since graduation, currently at Coalgate, and was looking forward to entering college in the near future.
Jeremy loved fishing, hunting and basketball, and was a giant Sooner Football fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ricky Don Thompson, his maternal grandfather, Bill Dorsey, and most recently by his brother-in-law, Don R. "Rowdy" Mowdy, III.
Survivors include his mother, Debbie Lawrence and step-father Shane Lawrence of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his sister Misty Mowdy and her children Kesston, 12, Kayden 10, and Megan Mowdy, 8, all of Fort Cobb; brother Ricky Lane Thompsonand wife Darri, and their children Briar and Brooklynn, his maternal grandmother, Shirley Dorsey of Fort Cobb; paternal grandparents, Melva and Don Thompson of Anadarko; uncle Rodney Thompson and his son James Dean of Apache; aunts Carla Marshall and husband Justin, and their children Cassidi, Cayson and Cannon, all of Clinton, Vicky Flynn of Fort Cobb and her sons Chris Lewis of Fort Cobb and Michael Flynn of Chickasha, Becky Lovell and her husband Mike, of Oney, and their sons Steve Koch and Brian Koch
of Fort Cobb; step-brother Christopher Welch of Granbury, Texas; his special friends Imara Foreman of Coalgate and Jaime Moore, and many other relatives and loving friends.
Jeremy is also survived by his very best friend and cousin with whom he grew up with, Michael Flynn; they enjoyed just hangin' out and doing everything together.
Funeral service: 10 A.M., Monday, in the Steverson Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Memory Lane Cemetery.
Viewing: Friday until 5 pm, Saturday from 9 am until 5 pm, Sunday from 1 pm until 9 pm, and Monday from 9 am until service time.
