Jennie Mary Carr

Jennie Mary Carr, 91, passed away surrounded by her family on May 4, 2023. She was born in Colony, OK on May 21, 1931, to John W. Goucher and Ruby May Brown.
She grew up in the Caddo and Kiowa counties. She attended the Colony Public School and graduated with a GED and some college classes. She met and married James A. Carr on March 24, 1947, and was blessed with 10 children; Mary, Billy Jo, Vivian, Jean, James, Joey, Don, Ron, Tina and Tammy.
Jennie loved working as a teacher at the Jane Brooks Deaf in Chickasha, OK. She worked at Wal-Mart cashier, worked as a private nursing home-caregiver. And as a line worker at the Factory. She loved family gatherings, especially with all of the grands, telling stories and just loving each and all.
She was preceded in death by her: Parents, John and Ruby; children, Billy Jo Carr, Vivian Dalton, Tina Irene Carr, James A Carr Jr, Donald Lee Carr, Ronald Dean Carr; Grandson, Kevin Wayne Elsperman; Great Granddaughter, Katelyn Krone; 2 brothers; 4 sisters.

She was loved by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and a host of friends.
