Jean "Jeannie" Mary Leonard, 86, passed away on January 18, 2023, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on January 3, 1937, in Lincoln, England to George and Dorothy (Phillips) Harby.
Jeannie was raised and attended school in Lincoln, England. She met and married an Air Force Man. They moved to San Antonio, TX. She was blessed with 3 children, Lorraine, Harley, and Gail. She remarried and adopted Christeen. She worked as a service manager for Best Western, Silver Crest Manor, and many other places. Jeannie was a nanny/housekeeper for Don and Rose LaFerr for years.
Jeannie was the life of the party, always a mess, a very blunt person, and was a favorite patient with all the nurses, doctors, and faculty in later years. She loved Ice Cream but no nuts, eating out at Jo's Burgers, and other eating places. She traveled to Lincoln, England. Covid never slowed her down. Her grandchildren spoiled her, and she was known as the Spunky Nanny. Jeannie loved "Hot Tea." She loved her dogs, Brandy, Heidi, Rascal and many others.
She was preceded in death by her: parents, George, and Dorothy; son, Harley "Joe" Dean LaFever II
