Janice Louise Franklin, age 76, passed away on July 26, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Lindel Franklin. They shared 57 years of marriage together.
Born in Carnegie, Oklahoma she was the daughter of Raymond "R.T." Harrison and Argie (Patterson) Harrison. She graduated in 1963 from Carnegie High School. After high school she went to the Oklahoma School of Banking in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she graduated there in 1964. While in Oklahoma City she met and married the love of her life, Lindel Lee Franklin. They were married April 12, 1964, in Wichita Falls, Texas. They went on to have two children, Monty Lynn and Cindi Annette. Lindel and Janice made their home in Carnegie where she helped her mom in the family grocery store "Harrison Superette" and later became part owner in the family business. Janice was a member of the First Baptist Church. She spent many years teaching VBS and Sunday School classes. Janice enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to all types of music. She read the Bible daily and read through it numerous times over the years. She will be remembered for her cooking, especially her fried chicken. She adored her family, but most of all her grandchildren Cody, Trey, Jada, and Seth. Janice will be remembered for her love, laughter, love for Jesus, and the way she cared for her family.
She survived by her husband of the home, Lindel Franklin. Her two children, son Monty Franklin of Corn, Oklahoma and daughter Cindi Graybill and husband Jim of Weatherford Oklahoma. Her four grandchildren; Cody Wilburn and his wife Ashley of Edmond, Oklahoma, Trey Graybill and his wife Courtney, Jada Graybill and Seth Graybill all of Weatherford, Oklahoma. Four great grandchildren; Hudson, Sawyer, Hadley, and Sady. In liu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
