Janet Marie Smith

Janet Marie Smith, 73, longtime resident of Hobart, passed away on October 18, 2018 in Hobart, Oklahoma. She was born August 13, 1945 in Great Bend, Kansas to Jerome Michael "Smitty" an Virginia Marie (Strobel) Smith. Janet married Nicholas K. Wilhowsky. Two sons were born to this union, Nicholas and Jerome. At some point, Janet and Nicholas parted ways. Later, Janet married Lyle "Pete" Wilson, who preceded her in death. Janet worked various jobs throughout her life including; Highland Supply, Searchlight, Hobart Police Department, and Kiowa County Sheriff's Office where she retired.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers: Mike, Pat, Randy, and Tommy Smith.

She is survived by her sons:
Nicholas Wilhowsky and daughter-in-law Melissa Wilhowsky, both of Hobart, Jerome Wilhowsky and Brenda Tesmer of Mountain, North Dakota
3 granddaughters: Aprile and Jeremy Hunter of Ponca City, Oklahoma,
Rachael and Matt Bolin of Hobart, Oklahoma,
Hannah and Dillon Tindle of Hobart, Oklahoma,
4 great-granddaughters and 1 great-grandson: Alexis, Alexander, Mallory, Maybree, and Iris,
1 sister Susie Smith of Oklahoma,
1 brother Doug Smith of Hobart, Oklahoma,
and many nieces and nephews.
