James Franklin Zimmerman

James Franklin Zimmerman, 83, Mountain View, OK, passed away on Thursday, December 2nd, 2010, in the Elkview General Hospital in Hobart, OK. He was born January 15, 1927 on the farm south of Mountain View in the Pecan school district. He graduated from the eighth grade at Pecan, attended four years of high school and graduated at Sedan Consolidated School in 1944. J. F. served with the U. S. Army Air Corp during WWII. He came home to take over the farming operation because his Dad was ill. J. F. married LaUna Mace in 1945 and she preceded him in death. They had two children, a daughter Jana Sue Starks, and a son James Hardin Zimmerman. He farmed in the communites of Sedan and Pecan all his life before retiring in 1993. J. F. married Jerrildine (Miller) Bussey on December 23, 1983 on the farm at Mountain View. He was a member serving as a Deacon in the Bethesda Primitive Baptist Church of Mountain View.

1 daughter: Elizabeth Bussey, Sonoma, CA
8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife LaUna, daughter Jana Sue, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.


Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 6, 2010
Pentecostal Holiness Church, Mountain View, OK
Burial will be in the Green Valley Cemetery under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home
of Mountain View.
