James Foy Wood

James Foy Wood was born on May 6, 1968, to Foy and Elaine Wade in Ashdown, Arkansas. James passed away on November 18, 2023, in Clinton, OK. From his earliest days, he brought joy and warmth to the lives of those around him. He grew up and attended school in Sentinel, OK where he graduated in 1986. After high school James joined the Army Reserves where he went into active duty. He earned respect and admiration from his fellow soldiers for his hard work and dedication. James enjoyed playing pool and dominos. In his younger days he enjoyed spending time outdoors, riding motorcycles, and snow skiing, even spending a winter working in Red River, NM. After his life changing accident in 1993, he lived in many places while going through rehabilitation and learning how to live a new way of life. Even though he struggled to accept his new life, James had gentle spirit and enduring kindness. James touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him. He loved his nephews dearly and took every chance he could get to buy them candy and toys. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Nephews: Casen, Jett, & Reed Wood, Rocky, OK

He is preceded in death by his natural father Foy Wade.
