James "Jr." Taylor graced this world on April 18. His parents, James and Mary Jo, began their family once this boy arrived. He lived in Vinson with his parents and brothers and graduated high school before being drafted into the US Army during the Vietnam War. Jr. served his country in the Army as a specialist and diesel mechanic. He received the National Defense Service Medal as well as the Good Conduct Medal before being honorably discharged after 2 years of service. On May 20, just before being discharged, Jr. married Stephanie. Upon returning home, Jr. and Stephanie built their home and raised their three children in Vinson. Jr. was a lifelong cowboy, farmer and rancher. His love for antique muscle cars was known to all, but his greatest joy was watching his grandchildren.
