James Richard Smith

James "J R" Richard Smith, 56, of Anadarko, OK was born on June 2, 1963 to Clarence James and Naomi Virginia (Marler) Smith in Oklahoma City, OK. He departed this world quietly on December 6, 2019. In his earliest years, James was fascinated with taking things apart and putting them back together. This fascination carried him through life working as a Certified Automotive Service Technician for more than 30 years. James was known to his friends and family as an easygoing and generous person who was an expert at his trade. He lived as an example for his children and shared the load with his wife. He was deeply loved by his family, respected by all his friends, and will be greatly missed by all.

James is survived by his wife, Sandy Jones, Anadarko, OK
Children: Dustin Smith, Dwayne Smith, Austin Jones, and Clarissa Lewis
Grandchildren: Nicholas Smith, Jayden Smith, Jacob Jones, Abigail Jones, Aubrey Lewis, and Logan Lewis
Stepmother Edna Smith
Sisters: Charlotte Smith, Sonya Gore, Janet Smith, Carol Hawks, Debbie Palesano, Patsy Schull, and Shirley Tontz
and many nieces and nephews.
James is preceded in death by his father and mother, Clarence and Naomi Smith and brother Dwayne Ricchi.
