James Homer Smith, 78, Gotebo resident, passed away Monday, May 12th, 2014 at
Elkview General Hospital in Hobart, OK. James was born September 17, 1935 in Newcastle, Oklahoma to Homer and Rhoda (Brown) Smith. He was united in marriage to Alice Hart, December 26, 1953 in Oklahoma City, OK. James was a truck driver for National Explosives.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Smith, of the home
one daughter, Beverly Geis and husband, Randy, Gotebo, OK
son, Gregory Scott Smith and wife, Connie, Morrison, OK
daughter-in-law, Dawn Smith, Tuttle, OK
eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren
one sister, Arvilla McClure and husband, Albert, Oklahoma City, OK
one brother, Ray Smith, Mexico
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Rhoda Farris, two sons, Gary and Farley Smith, two sisters, Viola Morrison and Lucille Farris and one brother, Albert Smith.
