James Alfred Shook (Sonny), 79, passed away on July 5, 2020. He was born September 11, 1940 in, Spring Creek, OK to Joe Herman and Syble Mae (Smith) Shook. He attended Spring Creek and Gracemont schools. Where he graduated in 1958. He was a member of the Army reserves. In 1960, he married Patsy Dabney. Together they raised three daughters while living in the Spencer, OK area. He worked for Laingor Monument, Harter Marble Crete, gas stations and other jobs. He later married Carolyn Knabe, at that time he was building Sonic Drive Ins all over Oklahoma and Texas. They owned S&S café in Gracemont. He was also owner of Shook Construction.

Melissa Buckley and husband Troy, Chickasha, OK
Stepson: Troy Leech, Gracemont
His dog Juice.
Sisters: Myrtle McCathern, Yukon, OK; Kathleen Brown, Hydro, OK; Fredia Cox, Midwest City, OK
9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Many nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
Preceded in death: wife, Carolyn Knabe Shook; parents, Joe Herman and Syble Shook; brother, Bobby Shook; sister, Janice Williams, infant son and a granddaughter.
