James Rudd

James "Sonny" Earl Rudd, 79, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015, in Edmond, Oklahoma. He was born September 16, 1935, on Big Elk Creek, Oklahoma, to James E. and Earle (Brown) Rudd. He moved to Gotebo at the age of three and grew up there. He graduated from Gotebo High School in 1953, where he later went on to attend Oklahoma A & M Tech Okmulgee College, and graduated with an Associate's Degree before being drafted into the Army in April of 1958.He worked for Boeing, in Kansas, while also helping farm his family land, in Gotebo, from 1955 to 1967. He started farming his family land full time in 1968. He moved to Hobart, Oklahoma and retired in 2007.

He is survived by four daughters:
Kelly Rudd Armstrong and husband, Todd, Comanche, OK,
Krista Rudd Conner and husband, Terry, Edmond, OK
Rachael Rudd and husband, Tim Gordon, Hobart, OK
April Rudd, Roosevelt, OK

Grandchildren: Chance & Patricia Armstrong, Skylar & Logan Conner, Mahalia & Kelsey Gordon, Cameron, Jacob, and Cole Thielan.

And Sister, Patsy Ruth Goertz, Hobart, Oklahoma.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, at Hobart Rose Cemetery, under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Hobart, Oklahoma.
