James Emmitt Pearce, 73, of Sentinel, OK, passed away on July 17, 2024, in Burns Flat, OK. He was born on May 21, 1951, to Dess & Louise (Larkins) Pearce, in Brooken, OK. He grew up in Sentinel & attended school at Port, until it's closure. James then attended school at Sentinel and graduated in 1970. On July 9, 1976, James married the love of his life, Ginger Taylor, in Sentinel, OK. Together they made their home in Sentinel, where they spent the next 48 years raising their family. James spent various years working in the oilfield, as a farm equipment salesman, doing some farming and raising cattle. In 1997, James & Ginger opened Pearce's Southside Grocery. It wasn't long after it opened that it became a staple in the Sentinel community. In 2003, they outgrew the building they were in and had the new one built. James enjoyed a good game of Golf. There were many things James loved in his life, but nothing came close to the love he had for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
