James C. Armstrong

James "Bear" Armstrong, 59, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away May 30th, 2014 at Southwest Medical Center, Oklahoma City, OK. He was born to Franklin and Emma (Redhorn) Armstrong in Lawton, OK. James graduated from Riverside Indian School in 1974. He was united in marriage to Claudia Beaver on March 09, 1974 in Carnegie, OK and had recently celebrated their 40th Anniversary. James was a member of the Inner-City Assembly of God Church in Oklahoma City, OK. He was very active in his church, volunteering and donating his time in helping others. He loved taking care of his grandchildren, as well as hunt and fish. James lived his life to the fullest.

three sisters, Stella Vaughn, Lawton, OK
Josephine Williams and husband, Jerry, Hartshorne, OK
Clara Armstrong, St. Paul, MN

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, William and Delford Armstrong, and one sister, Sylvia Bosin.

Funeral Service: 11:00a.m., Wednesday, June 04, 2014 at Rock Springs Indian Baptist Church, Anadarko, OK
Burial will follow at Red Stone Cemetery, Anadarko, OK
under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie
