Jacquelyn Schuster Starr, of Mangum, Oklahoma, passed away August 27th, 2017, at the age of 89. She was a Mangum native, born the daughter of John W. Tyler and Bessie P. Lofton, on January 18th, 1928. After graduating from Mangum High in 1946, she spent most of her working years as a Program Analyst for several firms including the US Government, a job that allowed her to travel the United States and the world living in places including Indiana, Colorado, England, and Germany. In July 2002, she was married to Willie A. Starr. She was touted the oldest member of the Mangum First United Methodist Church and was active with the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Elks Lodge, belonged to a bridge club, and was said to be an enthusiastic player of "free cell".

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Norma Lee Myers and Shirley June Smith, and her brother Wade Tyler Jr. Also by her niece, Therese Anne Myers.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 30, 2017, from 5-7 PM at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Mangum, Oklahoma.
Funeral Services will be held, Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 10:00 AM at the Mangum First United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Mangum, Oklahoma.
