Irene Knight, 87, former Hobart resident, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2010 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She was born September 9, 1922 in Bessie, Oklahoma to Clarence and Marie (Meyer) Rose.
She grew up in the Bessie area and graduated from Cordell High School. She moved to Hobart 1943,
to Midwest City in 2008 and to Chickasha in 2009. She was an Avon representative for many years.
Survivors include two daughters:
Mary Ann Adkison, Chickasha, OK
Dorothy Hamrick, Altus, OK
two grandchildren: Susan Laufgraben and David Hamrick
five great-grandchildren: Rebecca Hamrick, Marvin Hamrick
Kelsea Wiler, Spencer Wiler, Zachary Laufgraben
one sister, Clara Friesen, Clovis, CA
and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Donna Sue Miller, two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home Chapel, Hobart, OK
