Ira (Mike) Johnson Jr., 93, of Dill City, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. He was born on December 23, 1925 to Ira Tip & Ida (Schneburger) Johnson in Foss, Oklahoma. Mike grew up and attended school in Burns Flat, Oklahoma, graduating at the top of his class as Valedictorian in 1944. After high school he enlisted into the United States Army and was proud to serve his Country, he fought in World War II and served under General George Patton. Later he met the love of his life; Charlene Cook and they were married on July 3, 1954 in Thomas, Oklahoma, to this union was born five children: David, Kay, Terry, Vance and Beverly. Mike spent his working life farming, he loved his cotton fields, he even won farmer of the year in 1955. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Dill City, Oklahoma. Mike loved his family more than life itself, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
