Ira Ethel Head

Ira Ethel Head, 94, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on July 3, 1921, in Stonewall, Oklahoma, to John and Carrie (Hisaw) Danley. After Ethel's mother passed, she raised her 3 brothers, and 1 sister. She married Jesse Head on December 1, 1939, in Florence, Arizona. Ethel and Jesse moved to Hobart, Oklahoma in 1964. Ethel was a hard worker along side her husband for several years. She also helped Jesse with American Legion for 43 years. Ethel loved to cook, chocolate chip cookies being the favorite. She enjoyed playing Bingo. Ethel moved to Oklahoma City in 2007. Ethel's grandchildren were her pride and joy.


She is survived by her daughter Dolores Swearingen and husband Richard, Oklahoma City, OK
10 grandchildren
21 great-grandchildren


She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jesse (1996), 2 sons Carl and James Head,
3 brothers, Otha Lee Danley, G.W. Danley, Ray Danley, 1 sister Irene Roberts
