Homer Leon Evans, 87, Oklahoma City, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on July 12, 1928, in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Homer and Bell (Lindsey) Evans. Homer was united in marriage to Melva Edwards in Mountain View, Oklahoma in 1951, to this union one son Shawn was born. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Homer was a mechanic for FAA for many years until his retirement.
He is survived by his son Shawn Evans and wife Esther, New Zealand
two grandsons; Joel and Reuben Evans, New Zealand
one sister; Bea Coats
numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Melva, two brothers Howard and Dean

Burial will follow at Carnegie Cemetery, Carnegie, OK, under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie.
