Herman Edward Terrell passed away Saturday, January 27th, 2018 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was born September 13th, 1925 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Albert Sidney and Beatrice Dillard Terrell. Herman attended school in Alden and Carnegie and graduated from Carnegie High School. After graduation he farmed for one year and then went into the Navy. He married Letha Vance in 1947 and they enjoyed 68 years of marriage before her death in 2015. They lived in Texas, Maryland, and Florida before returning to Carnegie. He was a World War II Veteran. He worked three years for Phillips Petroleum Co, six years for ElPaso Natural Gas Co, and 24 years for Colonial Pipeline Co.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carnegie and enjoyed singing in the Senior Choir.
He was also an FAA Certified Pilot, owning his own plane for awhile and loved to fly.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, two sisters, Vivian Horton and Nelda Nix.
Survivors include one daughter Karen and her husband Steve Gable of Aberdeen Maryland,

Janelle Jeffers of Aberdeen, Maryland
Alexa Lynam of Prince Frederick, Maryland
