Herman Fields, 97, long time Hobart resident, passed away on Wednesday, April 20th, 2011 in Elkview General Hospital, Hobart, OK. He was born March 29, 1914 in Gotebo, OK to Henry and Hattie (Waller) Fields. Herman graduated school in Gotebo and he worked at Gotebo schools before entering the U.S. Army in during World War II. He married Eppie Bottom on December 9, 1940 and she preceded him in death on October 29, 1989. They moved to Hobart in 1961. He was a farmer and worked for Duty Packers for over 20 years. Herman was a member of the Church of Christ.

one daughter, Karen Karnes and husband Don, Albuquerque, New Mexico
11 grandchildren: Keitha, Kenda, David, Brett, Candice, Gina, Jacob
Tyler, Kaitlyn, Chad and Holly
9 great-grandchildren
2 brothers: Raymond Fields, Hobart, OK
Billy Joe Fields and wife Sondra, Abilene, TX
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Eppie, son Nathan Duane and 4 brothers: Lloyd, Roy, Johnny and Nathan.
