Elmo Ball, Hobart, OK was born September 5,1920 in Rocky, OK to Brent and Belle (Baskett) Ball. He passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 24th, 2012. Elmo was one of those Americans tempered early by adversities faced by their generation which fired their resolve to make the monumental advances indelibly recorded by the history of the 20th century. Throughout his life he was a creator. As master wood-worker, he left a legacy of hand made furniture creations that will carry his memory forward into the future.
Elmo was baptized at an young age at the Salem Baptist Church in Rocky. He graduated Rocky High School. He married Trevis Hendrix on March 26, 1944 in Erick, OK.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Trevis, of the home.
