Helen Gambrell

Helen Margaret (Corcorran) Gambrell was born March 28, 1923 at Burns Flat, Oklahoma, to Daniel and Cloy (Pringle) Corcorran. She met her heavenly father on June 19, 2019. Helen passed away at Corn Heritage Village Nursing Home in Corn, Oklahoma with her children by her side.
Helen married George (Doc) Gambrell on November 25, 1939, and was blessed with 6 wonderful children, 3 sons and 3 daughters: Leonard, Reba, Geary, Larry, Margaret, and Sharon.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband George (Doc), her parents Daniel and Cloy Corcorran, sister Ola Dean Schmidt and brother-in-law Lavern Schmidt, brother Billy Corcorran, and grandson Brian Gambrell.

Helen is survived by her 6 children and their spouses:
Leonard & Lori Gambrell of Las Cruses, New Mexico,
Reba & Gene Schmidt of Cordell, Oklahoma,
Geary Gambrell and friend Jerri of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,
Larry & Leona Gambrell of Kingfisher, Oklahoma,
Margaret & Allen Demel of Elk City, Oklahoma,
Sharon and the late Joe Spradlin of Cordell, Oklahoma,
15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandchild,
1 brother: Leland Corcorran and wife Jeanette of Hobart, Oklahoma,
sisters-in-law: Wilma Reeves of Dill City, Oklahoma,
Dorothy Godsoe of Connecticut,
and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Helen's memory to North Burns Cemetery in Burns Flat, Oklahoma or to Corn Heritage Village in Corn, Oklahoma.

Funeral: 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 24, 2019
First Baptist Church, Sentinel, OK
Interment: North Burns Cemetery
