Helen Louise Blankinship

Helen Louise Blankinship, 82, of Hobart, OK was born September 24, 1929 in Miamitown, OH to Charles and Naomi (Waltz) Corson and she passed away on September 26, 2011 in Hobart, OK. She married John Blankinship on November 24, 1970 in Las Vegas, NV. They made their home in San Diego CA until they moved to Oklahoma in 1978. Helen was a member of the Washington Street Baptist Church. Helen loved her husband, her nieces, nephews and grandchildren
with just as much passion as her friends and neighbors. She and her husband, John , cared for and visited neighbors and friends in need on a daily basis for many years. When she became unable to travel, she continued to encourage her loved ones and friends in need through daily telephone calls.

Survivors include her husband, John, of the home, daughters, Judy Kay Hawkins, New York, NY and Kristi McCullough and husband Earl, of Blair, OK.

Daughters in law: Peggy Raines, Hobart, OK and Kim Blankinship, Blanchard, OK
Grandchildren: Micah Blankinship, Denton, TX,, Jesse Blankinship, Blanchard, OK
Katie and Chris Chapman, Lawton, OK and Jeremy Besson, Bedford, TX.
Step-grandson, Dustin Pomroy, Hobart, OK and four great- granddaughters and two great-grandson.
A sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty and Ned Callen, Mountain Park, OK ,One niece and family and a host of family and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, William (Bill) Raines and Mark Blankinship and one grandson, Zachary Dale Williams an one niece Elana Callen Johnston and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Blankenship.
Services are planned for a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Washington Street Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
