Hazel Naomi Weese

July 17, 1917 — June 4, 2010

Hazel Naomi Weese, 92, passed away in Hobart Living Center on June 4, 2010. She was born on July 17, 1917, to Dudley and Maude (Clements) Driscoll in Custer City, Oklahoma. Her father
(Dudley ) was in the Oklahoma land run. Hazel was raised on a farm near Custer City. She graduated from Custer City High School. Hazel married Eldon Davis Weese on July, 16, 1938 in Clinton, OK and he preceded her in death in 1983. Hazel was a homemaker and mother of two daughters, Maurice and Eldonna. Hazel's family and friends cherish the quilts and clothing that she lovingly sewed for them. Her craftsmanship reflected her joy in creating each item that she made. She was a lifetime resident of western Oklahoma. In her latter years, she resided with her daughter, Maurice Ives, where she attended the First Baptist Church.


Survivors include two daughters: Maurice Ives and husband, Richard, Lone Wolf, OK.
Eldonna Friedman, Dubuque, IA.
6 grandchildren: Debbie Perry, Diana Ives, Steven Ives, John Monthy, Melissa Monthy and Tyler Monthy
Several great-grandchildren
1 brother: Calvin Driscoll, and wife JoyAnn, Clinton, OK.
3 sisters: Vera Wright and husband Buddy, Hobart, OK
Lois Horn, Sayre, OK
Verlena Thibadaux and husband, Russell, Tulsa, OK
1 sister-in-law, Verna Lou Driscoll, Clinton, OK
Numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eldon Weese, several brothers and sisters.
