Harvie Gene Geis

September 16, 1926 — March 14, 2013

Harvie Gene Geis, 86, of Mountain View, OK went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 14th, 2013 at the Carnegie Tri-County Municipal Hospital. He was born September 16th, 1926 to Sam and Martha (Wiebe) Geis, in Gotebo, OK. He was raised in Gotebo and graduated from there in 1944. During a Spring Revival at the First Baptist Church in Gotebo, OK May 7, 1941 Harvie accepted the Lord as his Savior. He served in the United States Army during World War Il. Harvie married the love of his life, Oneta Pritchard on December 29, 1949 in Mountain View, OK. They made their home in Roosevelt, OK and farmed until 1964, when they moved North of Mountain View. In 2001 they moved into town, and he retired from farming, February of 2005. Harvie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mountain View, OK. He was a wonderful husband of sixty four years, a loving father, and an exceptional "papa" to his grandchildren.

Audrianna Jayde, Niklas Patrick, Blake Michael, Eryn Sophia, all of Toowoomba, Australia
Kyeler Joe, Tatum Alizabeth, and Tanner Alan, Mountain View, OK

one special great great grandson, Ainsley Drake, Carnegie, OK
one brother, Bob Geis and wife, Jo Wendelyn, Gotebo, OK
and many nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Sammie and Ramon, and one sister, Betty (Geis) Raasch.

Funeral Services: 2:00p.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, Mountain View, OK
Burial will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery
under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Mountain View
