Harvey Ray Erman, 82, of Carnegie, Oklahoma passed away on March 8, 2023, in Carnegie, Oklahoma with his family at his side. He was born to Walter and Nettie Erman on January 26, 1941, in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Harvey grew up and attended school at Alden and graduated high school from Carnegie in 1958. He studied and obtained a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from OCU. He moved to Denver, Colorado for 10 years working as a mechanical engineer. He then moved back to Oklahoma in 1973. Harvey worked as a Park Ranger at Foss, Senior Park Ranger at Quartz Mountain and the Assistant Park Manager at Fort Cobb retiring after 20 years. Harvey also served at the Oklahoma City Bombing site protecting the site while recovery efforts were underway. Harvey started farming and ranching after he moved back to Oklahoma in 1973, and thoroughly enjoyed all it had to offer him. Harvey checked on his cows everyday until he went into the hospital, the week before he passed. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, gold mining, and he wrote many articles that were published about outdoor activities. Harvey also served as a volunteer firefighter for Alden Volunteer Fire Department for many years.
Harvey will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his parents: Walter & Nettie Erman, and grandson: Zackary Erman

There will be no formal funeral, Harvey wishes for his ashes to be spread in a private family moment on his beloved farm where his grandsons ashes (Zack) was spread.
