Harriet "T'sone-Mah" Kodaseet, 88, of Hartford, CT, passed away August 16th, 2012 at Mapleview Manor, Hartford, CT. She was born on September 2nd, 1923 to Lee "Em-tau-ke-heal" and Emma (Em-quo-nah) Odlety Calisay Kodaseet. Harriet attended and graduated from Mountain View High School. After graduation she moved away from home to Hartford, CT where she established her home there, for about 60 years until her death. She attended the Oklahoma College for Woman at Chickasha, which is now known as the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma to become a welder. She worked for Hamilton Beach Company for 45 years and later retired afterwards. Even though she lived so far away, she and her daughter Cathy would always make the Calisay Kodaseet family reunion, which was held on the last day of May near Memorial Day. It was held at Zodletone Creek for many years located just below "pee-yaw". She also came home around the holidays. There was nothing like Christmas at the Little Red Church. Many years ago when there was dirt floors and a potbelly wood stove to keep warm and the joy of laughter and the smell of cedar burning in the air. It was the most happiest time of the year. The Elders would camp around the church and there was always lots of excitement in the air. Those were the best years of her life. Harriet also loved to talk in her Kiowa language and was very good at it. She loved to talk about her aunties; Aunt Willa, Aunt Elizabeth, Aunt Jane, Aunt Stella, Aunt Beatrice and Uncle Carl.
