Gene Dooley, 90, of Hobart, Ok. passed away on May 2, 2012 in Altus, OK. He was born February 13, 1922 in Lockesburg, AR to Callie and Helen (Aubrey) Dooley. Gene graduated from Northeastern State College with a bachelors degree in Arts and Science. He was a Marketing Service Supervisor for Southwestern Bell Telephone for over 35 years, retiring in 1982. Gene loved horses and bird dogs and had several dogs that won Championships in the National Field Trials. He was a member of Crown Heights Christian Church in Oklahoma City, OK.
Survivors include his daughter, Monica Craig and husband Robbie, Hobart, OK
a grandson, Keith French and wife Lauren, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA
a granddaughter, Kathryn Gilliam and husband Scott, Altus, OK
a great-grandson, Ryan French
a sister: Bobby Brown, Langley, OK
and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters: Margie Rhine and Betty Brown Buck.
The family will greet friends at the Grand Lake Funeral Home in Jay, OK from 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday,
May 4th, 2012.
