Harlan Joe Wheeler, 58, of Carnegie, OK passed away on June 1, 2015, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born September 7, 1956, in Carnegie, OK to Joe Wheeler Jr. and Leona Tsatsatine Wheeler. He attended Carnegie High School graduating in 1974. Harlan received a scholorship to play baseball upon graduation. He worked as a Firefighter for the Kiowa Tribe and traveled extensively during this time fighting fires. He later worked as a security officer for the Kiowa Tribe. Harlan loved to play baseball, softball, hike, and had participated in several 5K marathons. He ran five miles a day and loved to hike on his land.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, Joe Wheeler Jr. and Leona Tsatsatine Wheeler, paternal grandparents, Joe Wheeler Sr. and Ethel Wheeler, and maternal grandmother, Ellen Tsatsatine, one brother, Herschel Wheeler, one sister, Carolyn Guoladdle and one nephew, Joe Guoladdle.

Wake services will be held at
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, at Cedar Creek United Methodist Church.
Officiating will be the Rev. Mike Boyiddle and the Rev. Donnie Ahhaitty
Burial will follow at Samone Cemetery under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie.
