Funeral services for Gwendolyne Finley, age 90, of Branson, Missouri and a former Cordell, OK resident will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Hollister Church of Christ with David Hamlin officiating. Graveside Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at the Strickland Cemetery in Cordell, Oklahoma.
She died May 23, 2014 at Point Lookout Nursing and Rehab in Hollister, Mo.
Gwendolyne was born on May 2, 1924 in Rocky, Oklahoma, the daughter of James Robert and Dixie Opal Watson Williams. She was an artist and was the owner and operator of an arts and crafts shop in Branson, Missouri. She had been a resident of the area for the past twenty years and was as member of the Church Of Christ. She was the widow of T. J. Finley former minister of the Branson Church Of Christ.
Survivors are her three children and spouses: Donna Jefferies and Larry of Belle Plaine, Kansas; Debbie Vinson and Ron of Rockfield, Kentucky; Jerial Finley and Susan of Midlothian, Texas. An adopted daughter, Sue McDonough and Bill of Branson, Missouri. Eight grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. One brother, Kelso Williams, Edmond, Oklahoma, a sister, Glenna Mae Alexander and Whitesboro, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, T.J. Finley, and one infant daughter.
