Gwendolyn LaRae Mace, 72, passed away December 9, 2019 in Houston, Texas. She was born June 5, 1947 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Roy Pete and Vera Muriel (Muse) Miller. Gwen graduated from Cooperton High School in 1965 and went on to attend Cameron College. She married her high school sweetheart, Floyd Allen Mace on May 22, 1964 in Vernon, Texas. They established the homestead in Green Valley where they farmed and ranched for more than 55 years while raising their three children. Gwen was a wife, a mother, a farmHER and rancHER. From tromping cotton, to binning wheat, baking cakes, and feeding the harvest crews, to raising crops and kids, she did it all. She was named Kiowa County Woman of the Year in 2013. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mountain View. Floyd and Gwen served as class parents for both the class of 1990 and 1998. She loved her family and pets dearly.

She is survived by her husband Floyd Allen Mace of the home,
2 daughters:
Chandi Thompson and husband Bruce of Mountain View, Oklahoma,
Laci McCool and husband Seth of Mountain View, Oklahoma,
5 grandchildren: Chambree Thompson, Jacy Mace, Kaden Mace, Kolton Mace, and Macee McCool,
1 brother Kent Miller and wife Deanna of Roosevelt, Oklahoma,
and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gwendolyn is preceded in death by her parents and 1 son Jason Mace.
