Gregory Alan Cooksey was born January 9, 1970, and went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2016. Greg was born to the late Billy Wayne Cooksey and Kathern Darline Cooksey. Greg grew up for awhile in Atoka and later the family moved to Oklahoma City. At the age of 17 Greg joined the Army where he served for 5 years. Greg learned to play drums, bass and acoustic guitar. Greg was a jack of all trades, working all kinds of jobs. While working at the Hobart Sale Barn, he was kicked by a cow and became disabled, leaving him unable to work. In 2001 Greg met his Soul Mate and Best Friend Alma Srock, they were later married on March 21, 2003. Greg was a fun loving and happy go lucky kind of guy, who never met a stranger. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, fishing and just hanging out with his friends and family. Greg was the happiest when his nieces, nephews, and grandchildren were around. Greg will be Loved and Missed by a host of family and friends.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents Bill & Kathern Cooksey; one sister Stella Eardman.
Greg is survived by his wife Alma Srock Cooksey of the home; four brothers Donnie Cooksey and wife Sandi of Oklahoma City; Johnie Nicar and wife Tammie of Texas; Brian Cooksey and wife Marcy of Corpus Christi, Texas; Steven Patton and wife Martha Srock Patton of Burns Flat. Two sons, Rob and wife Chariti Cooksey of Woodward, Joshua Cooksey of Burns Flat; two daughters Tesa Kaskaske of Vici; Kathern Cooksey and Fiance Marcus Alcantar of Cordell. Three Grandsons, Six Granddaughters, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Greg maybe gone but, HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Grace Baptist Church in Dill City with Rev. Carl Thionnet officiating.
