Goldie Ilean Whitley

Goldie Ilean Whitley passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at her home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ilean was born May 28, 1940 in Anadarko, Ok. to Ellis and Goldie Rogers Grissom.
Ilean attended Carnegie Public School graduating with the Class of 1958. She then attended Southwestern State College for one year until she married her high school sweetheart, Gary Whitley on July 3, 1959 in Carnegie, Oklahoma. To this union was born two sons, Todd and Tim.
After her sons were grown, Ilean's love of fine jewelry led her to work in retail sales in the Oklahoma City area for several years. Since retiring she and Gary loved traveling with their friends.
Ilean is survived by her husband, Gary, her sons Todd & his wife Lori of Wichita, Ks. and Tim & his wife Debbie of Moore, Ok. Three grandchildren, Jake, Donovan & Hunter. Also Lori's children Zach, Tyler & Cinday, their children Abby and Colin and Jason & Stacey, their children Rylan and Liam.
Ilean enjoyed a happy, healthy life until her health unexpectedly failed in 2017.
Ilean was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis & Goldie Grissom, & her brother, Robert Grissom.
