Glossie Wilkinson

Glossie Wilkinson, a longtime resident of Anadarko, Oklahoma passed away in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 93. Glossie was born July 1st, 1923 in Columbus County North Carolina to Luther McPherson and Mary E. Hinson. Glossie married the late Marion Wilkinson on July 23, 1943 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Marion & Glossie moved to Anadarko, OK. in 1962 when he was transferred from Cherokee, North Carolina to Riverside BIA and have been long time residents ever since. They were long time members of the First Baptist Church Anadarko, Oklahoma where Glossie loved singing in the choir, teaching her Kindergarten Sunday School Class and working with the Keenagers at the First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Iota Sorority. Glossie was an Executive Secretary at the Anadarko Bank and Trust for many many years.

Survivors include: Daughters Phyllis Martens of Maggie Valley, NC. Deborah Wilkinson Cameron Park, CA. Beth Coble and Husband Don of Anadarko, OK.

Grandchildren: Jaimi Ward, Kristen Martens, & Nicholas Martens all of North Carolina.
Robbie Coble & wife Susan of Chickasha, OK. Ryan Coble and wife Brianna of Tulsa, OK. and one sister Vera Simmons of Chadbourn, NC.

Glossie was preceded in death by: her parents, Husband Marion, brothers Richard McPherson, Lee McPherson, and one sister Lettie Norris

In Lieu of flowers the family requests to donate to the First Baptist Church Anadarko, OK. building fund.

Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 and Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be at the First Baptist Church of Anadarko, OK. on Monday, Nov 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Lynn Bellamy officiating.

Interment: Memory Lane Anadarko, OK.
