OBITUARY
Glen Elmo Bryson, 90, of Anadarko was born August 23, 1923, to Clyde Sewell and Myrtle Alice (Salyer) Bryson in Albert, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on Friday, June 20, 2014, in Chickasha.
After Graduation from Oney High School in 1943, Glenn joined the United States Navy. He married his high school sweetheart, Nina Clark, on July 9, 1946 while Glenn was serving in WWII.
They began their married life on a farm located three miles west of Oney, OK. In 1949, they moved to California where his parents and several siblings lived. In June of 1950, their first son, Terry was born. They returned to Oklahoma later that same year and rented a farm near Boone, OK. In 1951, he was hired as a member of the crew that was building the Public Service Company power plant located at Washita, OK. In 1952 he was hired to work there. He and Nina moved the family to Washita in 1953. In June of 1955, their younger son, Randy, was born. In 1964 the Bryson's moved to their current home in Anadarko.
Glenn spent his entire career with Public Service Company of Oklahoma. He retired from the Southwestern Power Station at Washita as a Shift Supervisor in 1985 after 33 years of service.
After Glenn retired, he and Nina bought their first RV and began traveling. They spent many of their winters in Quartsite, Arizona. In 1989, they bought a membership in Treasure Lake RV Resort in Branson, Missouri, where they enjoyed many spring and summer months entertaining family members and friends.
In addition to RV'ing, Glenn was an avid "collector". He enjoyed going to garage sales and to the "Sale Barn" on Thursday mornings. He was an avid gardener and took particular pride in his vegetable garden and his yard. He had a special love for all children and animals and loved spoiling all the neighborhood kids; but especially enjoyed spoiling his own grandchildren. He loved taking his dog Christy, for rides in his van and could often be seen driving around town, her in his lap, her head out the window. He couldn't stand for an animal to go hungry and spent the last years of his life taking care of homeless cats in Randlett Park near his home in Anadarko.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Bonnie Henderson, Bessie Russoni, Joe Bryson, Roy Bryson and Frank Bryson.
Survivors include his wife, Nina Bryson; two sons, Terry Bryson and his wife, Bobbi of Stillwater and Randy Bryson and his wife, Sharon of Anadarko; grandchildren, Eric Bryson and his fiancé, Siri Scott of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Erin Bellasai and her husband, John of Stillwater and Erin Edmondson Nichols of Bridgecreek; great grandchildren, Elliott Bellasai of Stillwater, Sydney Edmondson of Apache, Trey Nichols, Ty Nichols, Josey Nichols and Jude Nichols, all of Bridgecreek; sisters, Mary Farrer and her husband, Bob of Eufaula and Irene Lawson of Fresno, California; two special nephews, Donald Ray Clark and his wife, Kitty of Anadarko and Allen Finley of Binger; two special friends, Frieda and R.D.
