Funeral Services for Glen Edward McDonald, age 64 of Gracemont, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 9th at Assembly of God Church in Gracemont, Oklahoma with Rev. Thomas Worcester and Rev Scott Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Gracemont Cemetery under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Anadarko.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 1:00 PM-8:30 PM, Friday, April 8, 2016 9:00 AM- 8:30 pm with Family Visitation 6-8 PM on Friday at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Anadarko.

Glen Edward McDonald was born the son of John Raymond McDonald and Bonnie Mae Short McDonald on March 14, 1952 in Chico, California. He died on April 4th , 2016 in Oklahoma City after a long battle with cancer.

Glen grew up in the Del City and Spencer area. He attended school in Del City and Spencer where he excelled in sports: football, basketball and baseball. He served his country as a member of the United States Army from 11/21/1969 to 07/07/1972 completing a tour of Germany with the B Battery 3/76 Artillery. He received the National Defense Service Medal and Expert Marksman M14 in addition to his GED while serving his country. He received an Honorable Discharge on November 20th, 1975.

Glen and Marilyn Sage spent 18 wonderful years together and they married on December 15, 2006 in Oklahoma City, OK. They made their home East of Gracemont. He was preceded in death by his daughter Darrow Victoria McDonald on October 14, 1996.

Glen was known throughout the Caddo County Area for his fresh eggs and vegetables. He spent many hours taking care of his garden and chickens. He loved going to auctions where he was always looking for a bargain and he could always be counted on to attend the many sport and school functions of this grandchildren where he was known to get a little rambunctious on occasion.

Glen is survived by his wife Marilyn of the home; his parents, John and Bonnie McDonald, Spencer; sister: Sheila Gray and husband Don, Nicoma Park; brother: Raymond and wife Atoya of Meeker; sons: Glen McDonald, Jr. and wife Dresden, Moore; John M. McDonald and wife Sherri of Oklahoma City; daughters: Shonda McDonald, OKC; Kami Shear and husband, Jeremiah, Tulsa; and Sydney McDonald, Norman; grandsons: Aryn, Cody, Rylan; Mason; Lane and Christopher; granddaughters: Melissa, Breanna, Adin and Irie; stepdaughters: Sharla Moore and her husband Chris of Gracemont; Tisha Edge-Howie, Ft. Cobb; step grandchildren: Shayla and D'Veric Jessie, Gracemont; Taylor Edge and Vivan, Gracemont; Morgan Autaubo, Chickasha; Taysha Autaubo, Anadarko; Tyson Bryant, Oklahoma City and Kelby Edge, Ft Cobb; step great- grandchildren: Joseph Bare, Doyle Edge, Kenneth Jessie, Bentley Edge, Taylor Edge, Jr. of Gracemont and Sebastian Autaubo, Chickasha; nieces: Stephanie; Sherri and Erin; nephews: Justin and Stephen and a host of friends.

Glen was a loving husband; son; father, grandfather and uncle. He will be terribly missed and always remembered with love.
