Gladys Anne Thompson Robbins was born May 10, 1935 in Hamlin, Texas to R. L. "Pete" and Martha "Addie" (Rodgers) Thompson. On March 17, 1955 she married the love of her life, Jake Robbins. They began their family together and raised three daughters. Gladys worked as a nurse and ward Clerk at Elkview Hospital for many years. She retired and moved to Arkansas with her husband and two grown daughters in l983. Gladys enjoyed fishing, puzzle books, camping, traveling, and sewing. She loved to spend time with her family. She also enjoyed watching wrestling and reading. She was a great cook and could always fix anything. Most people knew Gladys simply as " Granny". Gladys had an open and loving heart and everyone that met her instantly loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jake Robbins, 1995, one sister Billie Blackburn, one brother, Bo Thompson and one granddaughter, Jennifer Goodman.
