Geri Lynn Toyekoyah, 52, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was born to Marland Lee and Dawn Cecille (Daugomah) Toyekoyah at Lawton Indian Hospital on September 26, 1967 and passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019.
Geri Lynn graduated Salutatorian/Class President of her class from Anadarko High School in 1985. She continued her education with the largest scholarship awarded in her class and graduated from Dartmouth College class of 1989, where she was a member of Delta Phi Epsilon sorority. She obtained her Masters of Public Health from The University of Oklahoma, 2005
She started working for the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in 1993 as a Disease Intervention Specialist. As a child growing up in Phoenix, AZ, she joined the Girl Scouts of the USA and became a troop leader for many years for Special Needs Scouts.
Geri Lynn is survived by her children, Matthew Arthur James, Katielynn Lee Dawn and John Akie Tahgaah Hall, all of Albuquerque, NM: her father Marland Lee Toyekoyah Sr., of Anadarko, OK: Brothers Marland "Bonner" Toyekoyah Jr. and wife Sha, Anadarko, OK, Allie Jason Toyekoyah and companion Larissa Beard, of Oklahoma City, OK: Nephews: Sky Christopher James, Marland "Trey" III and Titan Noble Luke Toyekoyah; Nieces: Ahnawake Dahn and Leynne Annette Toyekoyah; Grandson Bradley Herrera Toyekoyah; Grandmother Juanita Daugomah Ahtone, Carnegie, OK: Grandfather Ronald (Daws) Twohatchet, Lawton, OK; Uncles: Bennett Earl Daugomah, Phoenix, AZ, Steve Bohay, Long Beach, CA; Aunts: Myra Leanne "Annie" Smith, Anadarko, OK, Debra Bohay, Norwalk, CA, Beth Anne Gooday, Carnegie, OK, Dina Mattie Gooday, Anadarko, OK; Special Friends: Deborah Cocker, Christine Burns, Letty Medina; Special Brothers Ronald "Chris" Paddlety, Miles "Punkin" Stephenson.
She was proceeded in death by her mother; Paternal grandmother Evaline Komalty Toyekoyah; Maternal grandparents Phil Ragan Sr and Mamie Daugomah Bohay: Uncles Bernie "Red Feather" Toyekoyah Sr., Thomas Wayne Bohay Sr., Russell Bohay, Phil Ragan Bohay Jr; Brothers: Matthew Alan Toyekoyah, Cameron Ray Williams.
