Geraldine Wanda Laye

Geraldine Wanda Laye, 88, of Oklahoma City, was born February 21, 1927, to James and Edith Beets in Gracemont. She passed from this life on Sunday, April 19, 2015 in Oklahoma City.
Geraldine was born and raised in the Gracemont and Anadarko area. She went to work as an operator for Southwestern Bell, retiring in 1982. Geraldine loved travelling with her friends, Jackie, Phyllis and Blondie to places like Mexico, Italy and Holland. She was heavy into Tai Chi and water aerobics. Geraldine also enjoyed being in her garden club.
Preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers and two sisters
Survivors include her daughter, Holly Donita Laye of Moore; two grandchildren, Tommy Newman and Shantel Gonzales; great grandchild, Kennedy Baker, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Viewing will be Wednesday from 9 A.M. to 8:30 P.M. and Thursday from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. A graveside service has been scheduled for 2 P.M. , Thursday, April 23, 2015, in the Memory Lane Cemetery with John Cahill officiating.
